Nicholas J. Kelley

Zhiwei Zhou is a PhD student at the University of Southampton, supervised by Dr Kelley and Professor Constantine Sedikides. He investigates the neural mechanisms underlying personality and decision-making using behavioural paradigms, EEG, and machine learning techniques. His PhD research examines how narcissists in their various forms (e.g., grandiose agentic, communal, vulnerable) process errors, adapt to feedback, and engage in learning tasks. He is particularly interested in the implications of this research for self-regulation, health, and well-being. Outside of the lab, he enjoys hiking, discovering new culinary experiences with friends, and experimenting with creative dishes in the kitchen.
