The Social Neuroscience Lab traveled to Prague, Czech Republic (October 23-26) to attend the annual meeting of the Society for Psychophysiological Research! The meeting was a great success and the lab was well represented with 5 student presenters! Chengli Huang presented research showing that exercising self-control increases responsivity to hedonic and eudaimonic rewards. Zhiwei Zhou presented research showing that narcissism can be decoded in spontaneous neural oscillations. Olivia Bevel presented research showing that narcissism is associated impaired feedback processing. Esther Robins preseted research showing that a history of emotional neglect is associated with blunted error-related brain responses. Emily Penney presented research showing that the authentic self facilitates cognitive control.
